I’ve read a few pretty spectacular books lately, so I figured I’d share, in case you need some fresh reading ideas. Enjoy!
Jump, Jive, and Wail by Kathryn R. Biel

Every time I read women’s fiction, I wonder why I don’t read it more often. Including this time. I thoroughly enjoyed this read, largely for two reasons: the hero and the heroine. The interactions between them were funny, sweet, adorable, romantic… you name it.
Declan was that one of a kind hero who isn’t a bad boy, isn’t an alpha, has a wicked sense of humor, is confident (he has to be, to be a figure skater who happens to not be gay), caring, sweet, and frankly, exactly the kind of guy I want my daughter to marry someday.
Kaitlyn is the broken heroine. In the beginning of the book, she hates herself, hates life, hates everything. A chance encounter with Declan, a delayed flight due to weather, and over the course of 12 hours, Declan manages to convince her that she shouldn’t be so down on herself, that it was time for her to pull her life together. Did I mention I adore Declan? Because trust me, Kaitlyn’s issues were plenty big enough that she had every right to wallow in a little anger and frustration.
These two spark right away, but life and circumstances get in the way, causing them to develop first a friendship, before finally giving in to what the reader is going to root for from page one. Trust me, you will enjoy this read. It’s worth adding to your TBR. Excellent job, Kathryn Biel!
Love and Libations by Patricia D. Eddy

SUCH a wonderful book. So emotional, so true, so realistic. I have no experience with the sort of abuse the heroine endears, so if that character in this type of book is not written well, I tend to be annoyed by her refusal to change her “lot in life.” That was not the case with this book. I sympathized with both main characters, and not once did I yell at the heroine (in my head) or want to throw my Kindle at the wall. All I wanted was for both Lilah and Garrett to find their happily ever – together.
This is an emotional read about two individuals who have a great deal to overcome before they can truly be happy. You will enjoy the journey, all the way to the end, and this will be one of those books you will not want to leave when you reach that last page. Well done, Patricia Eddy.

Such a fun read. Patrick and Winn have the right amount of chemistry to keep the pages turning, and turning, and turning. The situations they fall into are so funny, and they are so endearing… and so hot! It really is a solid, warm-fuzzy read, with the perfect sprinkling of spice.
I admit, I’m a sucker for a handsome, confident guy with a great sense of humor. Like Patrick. He’s the perfect book boyfriend, and I’m so glad he and Winn hook up, because they both deserve the happily ever after that Rosanna Leo gives them.
And one final note: the ending is just so darn cute! Highly recommend this read. You will not be disappointed.

This was the first book I’ve read by Ashlynn Pearce, and I can’t wait to read more! Plenty of angst and frustration to keep the reader turning pages, wanting to know what will happen next. Cassie is the headstrong and determined heroine who has come from an abusive background and just wants to escape and start her life over. Thrand (I love that name!) was her deceased brother’s best friend, until he escaped their small, backwoods town. Unbeknownst to him, Cassie had a crush on him when they were younger.
Their accidental meeting in Nashville, when neither knew the other was in town, works, if you know Nashville at all. It’s a big city and yet a small town and it’s entirely possible to bump into an old friend on the street.
The rest of the book centers around both characters growing- individually as well as together. We also get to watch as the band, Dirtslap, comes together. Oh, and the author gives us a taste of book two, as well, and I’m now eagerly awaiting the next happily ever after in the series. Well done, Ashlynn!
