Welcome to the first day of
A Week of Wands, Fangs and Wings – A Paranormal Book Blog Tour!
Beginning today and occurring every single day until next Friday, we will feature books by EIGHT different authors. What kind of books? Paranormal! What do we mean by paranormal? Well, just as the title implies: wands, fangs, wings and everything in between. Pretty much, if it isn’t real, it might be here. If you enjoy reading all things paranormal, we are about to hand you heaven on a gilded plate. Or, at least, on your e-reader.
What do we have in store for you? Today, we’re introducing each of the authors who are participating in this blog tour and giving you a short description of each book that will be featured this week. AND… a contest starts today. That’s right – a contest. What blog tour is complete without a contest? And this isn’t just your run-of-the-mill contest. This is the whopper of all contests.
The winner wins… drum roll, please…. An e-copy of every single book featured on this tour. Every single one! Eleven books! Who says fairytales aren’t real?
So let’s get to it, shall we? Today, we’re going to introduce each author, give you a little blurb about each book, and give you the contest link at the bottom. Beginning tomorrow, we’ll have one or two book excerpts, every single day for a week, plus a fun Q&A with each featured author. Get ready for a paranormal good time…
Now, for the introductions:
Author Bio: Rachel Medhurst grew up in Surrey, England. She writes to prove that no matter where you come from, you can be anything you want to be. Your past may shape you, but it doesn’t define you. When Rachel isn’t writing, she can be found reading and walking in nature.
Book blurb: You don’t stop living when you die.
Have you ever wondered what happens when you die?
They’re called Deadliners, they’re spirits and they play fate with human lives. These ‘deadline assignments’ have karma, which must be cleared by the time they die. What the Deadliners don’t know is that by helping others they are also clearing karma of their own.
They’re a strong family unit who would do anything for one another – until one of them has to take Danny’s wife over to the other side. Will they be able to go through with it? The group finds themselves in unfamiliar territory as each one of them faces their toughest lesson since they’ve died: letting go.
Danny loses control as his friends start doing what they want instead of their jobs. What was making them forget their training? Is there something darker going on? Never before had a Deadliner group been so torn apart by the challenges that each one had to face.
Misti writes to give voice to her imaginary friends, who want a real life on paper, where they can be free to be themselves.
When she’s not writing, she is almost always reading anything she can get her hands on. She reads word like they are chocolate, and must be devoured in one sitting.
She can often be found multi-tasking effortlessly while reading a book and spending time with her husband, four children and two dogs.
She loves chocolate as much as she loves reading, and enjoys baking desserts that result in diabetic comas. In her downtime she procaffinates with friends and stalks Facebook.
Book Blurb: Raven Mackenzie has a normal life, a great job in finances and a never-ending closet. At the end of a hard day the only thing she wants is to spend time with her best friend, Luke, her constant companion since they were teenagers.
Ash is an Angel of Death and for thousands of years he’s been taking souls to the other side. Now he faces his toughest mission. He made a promise to Raven’s father, a promise he intends to keep. He must help Raven survive no matter what the cost. Even if it means taking her into a world he hates.
When Raven meets Ash, her normal life is rocked to its core. No longer a human but an Angel of death, she is given a choice. She must decide between eternal torment and murder.
As Raven’s world crumbles around her, she finds herself torn between the decision she must make, her past, and the future she wants.
Will Raven be able to make the right choice before time runs out?
A.J. Navarre lives in the smog-filled oasis of California’s Central Valley, where she spends the days at a desk covered in paper and half-empty rum bottles. When she takes herself seriously, she writes stories that fall under paranormal, science fiction, and the spaces between. Witches casting spells through tattoos, werewolves falling in love with ghosts, shapeshifting rebels fighting against flesh-harvesting factories… The focus is wide, but the emphasis remains the same: fresh, passionate, character-driven stories.
Book blurb: Seventeen-year-old Nina Belmonte knows her way around death; as the daughter of wolf witches lost in a magical catastrophe when she was just a baby, she grew up used to fighting on her own, tooth and claw.
But her new next-door neighbor is something she’s never met, something that shouldn’t exist. He’s a vampire; vicious, cunning, and determined to hunt her down and suck her dry. Nina knows she can’t
beat him alone, but the only person willing to believe her is Gideon, a young renegade agent as mysterious as the magictech organization he once worked for. Despite the danger, his presence lights up her heart with hope—and maybe something more.
Death comes for everyone, but Nina never gives up without a fight. And if she and Gideon can’t hold off the vampire’s teeth, she’ll lose everything—her family, her chance at love, and her life.

Book Blurb #1: Bear shifter Ryland Snow just wants peace. The peace and quiet afforded him at his woodsy retreat, the Ursa Fishing Lodge. As owner of the lodge, Ryland enjoys the tranquil life he’s created among his fellow shifters. He lives to maintain a safe haven for them, away from meddlesome human eyes.
When his rock star brother arrives, bringing trouble in the form of a possible hitman, Ryland is incensed. He’s been cleaning up Soren’s messes as long as he can remember, and is tired of his brother’s lecherous exploits.
Things go from bad to worse when Lia Goodblood stumbles upon Ryland and his lodge. Yes, the reclusive erotica author is easy on the eyes, but the human woman is more trouble than she’s worth. To say nothing of her bizarre fear of furry creatures.
Ryland determines to rid himself of her presence. But when he learns she’s on the run from a crazed fan, Ryland’s protective bear instincts flare. And the bear won’t be denied.

Everyone but Charlotte.
Charlotte couldn’t be less interested in mating. A free spirit, she wants nothing more than to succeed at her new career in the big city and leave small-town Gemini Island behind. However, she can’t deny Bart stirs up unwanted emotions inside her. Emotions she swore she’d never feel again.
The occasion of Bart’s family reunion compels him to assume new responsibilities, and to consider a role he never envisioned for himself. Family tensions rise to the surface as a new Alpha is proclaimed in his pack. And when old grudges escalate, Bart must stake his claim.
Charlotte resists as he stakes a claim on her as well. But when he begins to employ sexual tactics of temptation, she wonders if the only solution is submission to the enticing wolf man. Can she trust her heart again? And can they find their happy ending before an enemy cuts their story short?

Book Blurb: They were supposed to be enemies, not lovers. Tanner Lyons is a shifter without a pack, which is just the way he likes it—until he rescues Olivia Bennett, princess of the Lightbearers. Suddenly, he finds himself fighting an attraction that makes no sense, because Lightbearers and shifters have been mortal enemies since the beginning of time. Intrigue, adventure, magic, and passion – you’ll find it all in Into the Light, Book 1 of Tami Lund’s exciting new fantasy series, Lightbearers.
Shifters dominate the human world, while Lightbearers stay hidden away in their magically protected coterie. That is, until Olivia Bennett, princess of the Lightbearers, is captured by the most powerful shifter of them all—Quentin Lyons, who believes that to kill a Lightbearer is to inherit her magic.
His son, Tanner, doesn’t believe his father’s theory. In the ultimate betrayal, Tanner rescues Olivia and vows to return her to her home. Along the way, he discovers two other Lightbearers who have left the safety of the coterie, not to mention an attraction to the Lightbearer princess that becomes increasingly more difficult to ignore with each hour he spends in her company.
The attraction makes no sense. Lightbearers and shifters have been mortal enemies since the dawn of time. He’s supposed to feel the urge to kill her, not … well, you know.
Despite shifters who are out to kill them and Lightbearers who don’t trust them, Tanner and Olivia decide to take the chance and give in to their mutual attraction, only to discover that Olivia’s destiny has been predetermined, and it doesn’t include her shifter lover. They must decide if they are willing to risk it all, or if they can walk away from true love for the sake of the Lightbearer species.
Author Bio: Patricia D. Eddy has been a writer all of her life. She used to sit at her parents’ kitchen counter at an Apple IIe typing out short stories. She even wrote a few on their old typewriter. But it wasn’t until NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) in 2011 that she ever came close to finishing a story she started.
Once that dam broke, the floodwaters never receded. Patricia sits down to write every evening after dinner and quite often sees midnight come and go before she heads to bed. She doesn’t sleep much. But she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Patricia is also a founding partner in PageCurl Publishing and Promotion, dedicated to helping all authors succeed without breaking the bank. In her spare (HA!) time she runs, bikes, swims, yogas, reads, and is terribly addicted to Doctor Who and Sherlock. Apparently she has a thing for quirky British men.
