Author: Tami Lund
Title of Book: Resist, a Vampire Blood Courtesans Romance
Character Name: Camden
Is this the hero/heroine/antagonist? I’m most definitely the hero.
Q: Intro the book.
So, this book takes place during a period of my life when I’m more concerned with protecting my city (I’m the leader of the Chicago coven of vampires, and let me tell you, it’s quite the coveted position) than I am with eating. This is, of course, not good, as vampires, like all living (and maybe not so living) beings, require sustenance to be able to function properly.
Anyway, while I’m in the middle of a self-imposed but kind of accidental fast, I meet this utterly delectable human woman. Who, naturally, wants nothing whatsoever to do with me. I’d normally take offense because, let’s be honest, few women can resist what a vampire has to offer, but this is a special case. Anya, as it turns out, hates all vampires, because she mistakenly believes vampires killed her aunt. I don’t believe this—and frankly, if it is true, not all vampires did it, obviously. Like with humans, sometimes there are vampire bad seeds, too.
Apparently the lack of blood has gone to my brain because I offer to help Anya find her lost sister and also promise not to touch her, specifically with my fangs, at least, not unless she asks, of course.
So yes, this should be an interesting 120 pages or so…
Q: Tell us about yourself. Do you consider yourself your author’s muse or bane of her/his existence?
I’m offended that you even have to ask. Of course I’m a muse. I’m as close to perfection as my author could possibly create with her fascinating imagination.
Q: What do you think readers will like best about you?
They’ll certainly appreciate my restraint while I’m around the endlessly tempting Anya. Or so I hope they will. Or maybe I don’t want them to, because damn, it’s getting harder and harder to resist attempting to seduce her. She smells divine, and I’m certain she will taste even more so.
Q: Let’s get serious for a few moments… Favorite beverage?
Heh, heh, heh. Blood, of course. Although I’d certainly not turn down a glass of excellent, high end Cab Franc.
Q: Vegetarian or red meat?
Humans are considered red meat, right?
Q: Sleep in pajamas or in the nude?
Most definitely in the nude. Preferably with a lovely companion wrapped around me. Specifically Anya, although like I said above, I’m trying my damndest to resist.
Q: Lights on or lights out?
No strong opinion. As a vampire, I’m used to the dark, although I understand that humans need the light.
Q: In the beginning of the book, do you have a mate/spouse? If so, tell us about him/her. If not, is there someone you have your eye on? Or who has their eye on you?
No mate. And you already know I’m fascinated by Anya. I’d definitely like to make her my blood courtesan, and the contract would most certainly be open-ended. I highly doubt I’d grown bored with her any time soon. Possibly never.
Q: Favorite place to seduce your partner?
When we first meet, I imagine seducing Anya in the back of my towncar, while my driver makes his way through the streets of Chicago. Once we’re at my house, I’m tempted by the idea of bending her over the arm of the chair in my living room. And then I accidentally walk in on her pleasuring herself, and I’d like nothing more than to join her in that bed. I suppose I don’t really have a favorite. I’d just like to seduce her, period.
Q: What do you wish Anya understood about you?
That I’m not the scary monster under her bed. In fact, I’d like to be the seductive monster in her bed.
Q: Has your author ever put you into an embarrassing situation? How did you handle it?
Well, the fact that Hollis, my arch nemesis managed to kidnap both me and Anya is pretty damn embarrassing.
Q: Is there anything specific in this book of which you are particularly proud?
My humor really shines, if I do say so myself.
Q: Would you like to add anything else?
Thank you, from my sharp, pointy fangs to the bottom of my heart, for reading my story. I truly believe you will enjoy it.
